Abstract

Abstract

This chapter provides an update on other refractive procedures. Corneal collagen cross-linkage with riboflavin (C3R), procedural details, and implantable contact lens (ICL) are discussed. Visian ICL is a safe and effective tool for correcting high refractive errors. The incidence of glare, haloes and night driving problems is also minimal. As compared to the Artisan lens, there is no significant iris handling and hence chances of pupil distortion and pigment release are also very less. The ICL is a preferred modality for correction of high myopia and for patients with thin corneas with excellent and stable postoperative results.
