Abstract

Drug induced lung disease may show different patterns on chest radiograph. Changes due to cocaine, heroin, penicillamine and quinidine are seen as frank alveolar opacities. Interstitial opacities are caused by medications containing gold, amiodarone, and agents used for chemotherapy. Phenytoin and steroids show a picture of mediastinal widening. High quality chest x-rays of drug induced lung diseases are highlighted and discussed.
