Abstract

Pleural calcification is seen as white shadows. Collection of abnormal amount of free fluid in between the parietal and visceral pleura is called pleural effusion. In congestive cardiac failure, loculated effusion is seen in interlobar fissures and it might disappear quickly following treatment, this is known as vanishing lung tumor. Transudates, exudates, chylothorax, hemothorax, may all look alike on chest x-rays. High quality x-rays and CT scan images show the various types of pleural disorders and discussed.
