In this chapter we address humeral fractures located in the proximal third of its diaphysis. These fractures are ones frequently associated with more severe angular deformities, usually of a varus nature. However, the prevention of such deformity is easily carried out. If following the application of the brace the arm is promptly allowed to reach full extension of the elbow, even for short periods of time and the associated pain and discomfort have subsided, the gravity forces correct noticeable angular problems. Pendulum exercises conducted early and frequently bring about a satisfactory alignment in most instances.
