The book “Essentials of GYNECOLOGY” highlights the diseases of women reproductive organs. Gynecology explores the health matter of women from birth to menopause. This book explains sex differentiation, abnormal development of reproductive organs to pediatric, adolescent and geriatric health in a simpler manner. This book deals with menarche, normal and abnormal menstruation and its problems along with contraception and subfertility. Instruments used in obstetrics and gynecology, ultrasound and Color Doppler in gynecology, genital tuberculosis, and endoscopy in gynecology are new chapters which are incorporated in this edition along with large number of colored figures. This book is divided to three different sections: General gynecology, reproductive endocrinology and assisted conception and gynecologic oncology. General gynecology deals with embryology, development of the female genital tract, various disorders of the development of Müllerian system, ovulation, menstruation, pediatric gynecology, dysmenorrhea, abnormal uterine bleeding, amenorrhea, oligomenorrhea and so on. Section two mainly explains on puberty, different disorders of ovulation, polycystic ovarian syndrome, hirsutism, infertility, menopause and hormone replacement therapy. Gynecologic oncology deals with gynecological cancer screening, ovarian cancer, uterine malignancy, vulvar cancer and palliative care.
