It has been five long years since my book titled Biochemistry for nurses was published. It was received well by the students of nursing within and outside the country. Since then, the syllabus for BSc nursing has been fully revised by Nursing Council of India. Keeping the syllabus requirements for BSc nursing in mind, this book has been fully rewritten and a unit in nutrition has been incorporated, and a single book titled Nutrition and Biochemistry for Nurses has been brought out. I hope that the contents of the book serve the requirements of nursing students, if so my efforts are worth it. Any constructive comments and suggestions from the readers are welcome, and will be implemented in the subsequent editions.
