Abstract

It has meticulously labeled high quality CT images of temporal bone in axial sections. The normal cross sectional anatomy is also discussed to give a clear understanding of these structures on CT scans Temporal bone has the following portions—squamous, mastoid, petrous, tympanic, and styloid. The ear is divided for descriptive purposes into external ear, middle ear and inner ear. The structures like the incus, malleus, stapes, cochlea, scutum, tympanic membrane, semicircular canals and vestibular aqueducts have been well highlighted on CT images.
