A wire loop used as snare is passed into the anterior chamber between the nucleus and cornea. Once the loop crosses the equator of the nucleus at 6 O\' clock position, the same is rotated backwards vertically to lasso around the nucleus in the anterior chamber. It easily divides the hardest of the nuclei into two halves. The divided halves can easily be brought out by serrated forceps. This can be safely performed through a smaller sclerocorneal flap valve incision. More than 2.5 mm of anterior chamber depth is recommended to maneuver the wire loop.
