In this technique, nucleus is divided in to 2 pieces before removing it from the AC. Three self sealing paracentesis are made, one each at 10 0’clock, 2 0’clock and at lower temporal cornea for insertion of ACM. Bottle height is kept at 14 inches which corresponds to a pressure of 26 mm Hg. All the steps of surgery are done with ACM on but CCC is done under viscoelastic. After prolapsing the nucleus in AC, nucleus is bisected between solid vectis and bisector. First bisector is insinuated between lens and cornea and then solid vectis is insinuated between nucleus and capsular bag. Vectis is pressed upwards while bisector is kept steady to split the nucleus. Both halves of nucleus are removed one by one. Wound is left sutureless or a cross suture can be applied.
