Abstract

Man has been the most restless creature of God’s Creation! From large vertical paramedian and suprapubic incisions, surgeons moved on to the keyhole surgery. Endoscopists developed and nurtured this unique modality with multiple 5-10 mm ports for about 30 years. Then comes the era of Robotic Surgery which is still very much ongoing. It offers all the unique benefits of minimally invasive surgery viz magnificent view, no scar, early discharge and early recovery without a scar as the scar gets hidden inside the belly button.
