Minimally invasive surgery has become a mainstay in gynecologic surgery and transformed the surgical field. The risks of complications are minimal however still preventable. The aim of this chapter is to review the management of complications and discuss various techniques to decrease the incidence of these complications. With careful attention to patients, anatomy and electrosurgical instruments, the surgeon must be suited to address the potential complications that may arise. Careful execution of preventative steps and early recognition will create an atmosphere that is safe for both the patient and surgeon.
