Counselling is a working relationship in which people are helped to explore and manage what is happening in their life. Health care professionals are most expected to counsel for clients problems, worries or stresses. Whereas, now most of the health care professionals believe that medicines and other procedures will relieve their problems. This book intends to mention that the counselling is responsibility of the any health care team member. So the aims and approaches are clearly mentioned in this book as per present health care need. Improper counselling techniques may leave the client in vain or counsellor may feel fed up and burdened. So the proper techniques of counselling are given and explained in simple manner. There is no strict rule for following particular type of counselling but the varieties are given and principles are explained. Whatever options of counselling we choose or client prefers, the basic principles and objectives are same. They are clearly stated inside. The essential qualities required for a good counsellor mentioned in this book will give us better idea and will change everyone as good counsellor who reads this book.
