This chapter provides detail description of Spontaneous intracerebral haemorrhage. Chapter has 2 well illustrated diagrams and pictures. Intracranial haemorrhage (ICH), secondary causes of ICH, emergency diagnosis and assessment of ICH and its causes, risk factors of ICH, early haematoma growth, perihaematomal brain injury, management of ICH, haemostatic therapy, reversal of anticoagulation, anticonvulsant therapy, recommendations for management of ICH related to coagulation and fibrinolysis, surgical management of ICH, endoscopic aspiration, thrombolytic therapy and aspiration of clots and decompressive craniotomy are described in detail. 2 tables are included to highlight secondary causes of intracerebral haemorrhage and intracerebral haemorrhage score. 43 references are included at the end of the chapter to facilitate further reading.
