Abstract

Vulvar intraepithelial neoplasm (VIN) are pre malignant lesions of vulva, which presents as pruritus and discoloration of vulva in age group of around 40 years. Colposcopic directed biopsy confirms the diagnosis. Excision and ablation are treatment modalities. Vulvar cancer is primarily found in postmenopausal women. Histology, staging, mode of spread and diagnostic methods of vulvar cancer are explained in text, tables and photographs. Surgery is main stay of treatment. Wide local excision, radical, partial and complete vulvectomy are surgical options. A brief review of variants of vulvar cancer is given in the chapter. Vaginal intraepithelial neoplasm (VaIN) has same risk factors as carcinoma cervix. Incidence, risk factors, screening and diagnostic methods and stage wise treatment are summarized in the chapter.
