Abstract

Any other presentation than cephalic are defined as malpresentation, and malposition is termed when vertex is in abnormal position. This chapter covers all aspects, i.e. causes, incidence, positions, clinical diagnosis and conduct of vaginal and operative delivery in each malpresentation like breech, face, brow, shoulder, arm, cord and occipito posterior malposition. Method of clinical diagnosis and obstetric maneuvers applied in malpresentation are illustrated in detail with help of photographs. Evidence based recent guidelines on external cephalic version, internal podalic version, instrumental delivery are concised in the chapter.
