The book “Statistical Tests in Medical Research” explains usage of statistics in the field of medical research. Utilization of the statistical approach in medical research is difficult. One should be careful in choosing statistical test for the analysing their data. This book contains nine chapters starting with the introduction to statistics. This book is written in a comprehensive manner for scientific researchers to understand the biostatistics part. It clearly explains the steps which are needed in selection of statistical tests. It also provides exercises with examples for better understanding. It emphasises on basics of biostatistics. It helps to identify what of kind of scientific data and it is following which distribution. Statistical tests like one-tailed or two-tailed, test for homogeneity of variances and post-hoc tests of ANOVA are explained in a simple manner. It also provides a chapter as a bonus for readers which discusses about check list for the appraisal of statistical, aspects of the research paper, common pitfalls related to statistical errors in medical research and statistical errors and deficiencies related to the design of a study.
