The book “Essentials of Midwifery & Obstetrical Nursing” mainly focuses on management and assessment of midwifery and obstetrical nursing. It also covers the genetic and embryology aspects. Assessment and management of pregnancy, intranatal period, postnatal period, normal neonate, high-risk pregnancy, abnormal labour, abnormalities during postnatal period and high-risk newborn are explained in detail. In addition, pharmacotherapeutics in obstetrics, family welfare programme and legal and ethical aspects of midwifery and obstetrical nursing are clearly explained.
