Certain bacterias produce diseases which are manifested in and around the oral cavity some of the diseases or lesions are of specific nature and are produced by a specific microorganism. Bacterial infections such as scarlet fever, diphtheria, oral tuberculosis and scrofula, tuberculosis of skin, tetanus, syphilis, NOMA, cat scratch disease and tularemia are discussed in this chapter.
