When “adolescent psychiatry” is gaining popularity can “adolescent craniofacial growth studies” be far behind? This may be the first time an entire chapter is dedicated to this age group regarding growth. Once puberty is achieved growth is almost said to be 80–90% complete. But what happens after puberty? Is only remodelling possible or active growth can be expected? The current crop of adolescents is technology driven and net-savvy. They have to be counselled before any treatment is initiated and their co-operation enlisted. The condition of bone, its maturity levels and what can be expected if some treatment is initiated is discoursed in this chapter. What are the events that culminate in puberty is also elaborated.
