Abstract

Various important diagnostic methods are used for the diagnosis of different lung diseases, including chest skiagram, conventional tomography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography scan, bronchography, angiography, bronchoscopy, Gallium-67 lung scanning, thoracoscopy, lung biopsy, etc. In addition, there are many other useful diagnostic methods commonly used in pulmonary medicine, such as drill bioscopy, microbiological methods for diagnosis of viral, bacterial and fungal diseases, serological tests, skin tests, pulmonary cytology, hematological and biochemical tests.
