Abstract

The MRI of leg has been discussed with meticulously labeled images in coronal, sagittal and axial sections. The general features of muscle compartments, nerves, vessels and bones are highlighted and depicted on the MR images. The muscles of anterior compartment, lateral compartment and posterior compartment are better defined on MR imaging due to unparalleled soft tissue resolution. MR images taken at various levels in the leg give the reader a better and easier understanding of the MR anatomy of leg.
