Abstract

The MRI of wrist joint has been discussed with meticulously labeled images in coronal, sagittal and axial sections. The general features of wrist joint, tendons, muscles, arteries, veins, nerves, flexor retinaculum; carpal bones are highlighted and depicted on the MR images. The arrangement of the flexor muscles at the wrist joint (the carpal tunnel) in relation to the arteries and nerves are better demonstrated in multiple planes on MR images. The course of the median nerve, radial nerve and ulnar nerve are better seen on MR imaging due to higher soft tissue resolution.
