Abstract

The MRI of thigh has been discussed with meticulously labeled images in coronal, sagittal and axial sections. The general features of thigh, iliotibial tract, muscle groups, ligaments, arteries, veins, nerves are highlighted and depicted on the MR images. The muscles of the thigh—anterior compartment, posterior compartment, medial and lateral compartment are the sciatic nerve course in the thigh and other major vessels of the thigh have been shown on MR imaging due to unparalleled higher soft tissue resolution.
