This is the 1st edition of the book Advances in Pediatric Dermatology. The text is comprehensive, updated as per the present day requirements in the subject of pediatric dermatology. Different dermatological conditions in children are described in detail with the help of excellent photographic illustrations. The book has 15 chapters. The first chapter deals with contact dermatitis and patch test in children. Subsequent two chapters namely Ichthyosis and Epidermolysis bulla provide a comprehensive description of these diseases in regards to global and Indian scenario. A sound foundation of understanding of emerging infectious diseases, infantile hemangioma and mosaicism is provided in next three chapters. Update on scabies, pediculosis, phototherapy and lichen planus is provided from chapter seven to nine. Autoimmune diseases in children, purpura, neutrophilic dermatoses, acrodermatitis and phrynoderma are dealt in next 5 chapters. Last chapter of the book describes intravenous immunoglobulin therapy. A comprehensive index is given at last.
