This chapter provides detail description of trauma in obstetrics. The chapter has 8 well illustrated diagrams and pictures. Causes of trauma in obstetrics, Changes in maternal physiology, key issues, fetal monitoring, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, technique of perimortum caesarean section, spinal cord injury, thermal injury are described in detail. 2 tables are included to highlight radiation exposure to unshielded uterus and management of pregnant trauma patient. Two flow charts are added to depict algorithm for management of a pregnant trauma patient. 15 references are given at the end of chapter to facilitate further reading.
