The book “Hematopathology Pearls” focuses on outlining the important information in hematology. It provides an overview and guides to study for the medical students and residents to use it during their training session and while preparing for the examinations; it is not intended for the pathologists. This book consists of fourteen chapters, the first chapter includes in detail about the hematopoiesis and hematology testing. The following chapters discusses on the particular disorders of red blood cells, disorders of platelets and coagulation factors, disorders of nonneoplastic white blood cells, etc. Chapter 5 and 6 explains about the structure and functions of normal lymph node, thymus and lymphoid hyperplasia, and spleen. The later chapters details mainly on myelodysplastic syndromes, acute myeloid leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, non-hodgkin lymphomas, plasma cell neoplasms and histiocytic/dendritic cell neoplasms, hodgkin lymphoma. The other chapters explain about the lymphoproliferative disorders associated with immunodeficiency and post-transplantations, flow cytometry principles and its applications, their molecular pathology.
