This chapter outlines the following: anesthesia and resuscitation equipment, monitoring equipment, oxygen therapy equipment and intravenous infusion equipment. The chapter describes the following equipment: anesthesia machine, breathing system (circuit), anesthetic mask, laryngoscopes, endotracheal tubes, airways, resuscitation bag, and other accessories required for administration of anesthesia. It also deals with monitoring equipment such as cardioscope, pulse oximeter, capnometer, Blood Pressure monitor, and respiratory gas monitor. The third part the chapter deals with oxygen therapy equipment such as oxygen cylinder, oxygen flow meter, oxygen mask, and nasal prongs. The fourth part of the chapter deals with intravenous infusion equipment which includes, scalp needle, intravenous cannula, bivalve (three-way) and infusion set.
