The book“Atlas of Laparoscopic & Robotic Urologic Oncological Surgery”serves as a guide to urologists and as a unique surgical atlas. This book exclusively deals with pure laparoscopic approach to all common urologic oncological procedures. The book is divided into three sections: Aesthesia and setup, upper tract surgery, and lower tract surgery. Each chapter entails the detailed procedural steps supplemented with other information such as patient preparation and provides valuable insights into necessary instrumentation and equipment for each procedure.Initial two chapters from section 1 discusses on the anesthesia setup and instruments needed for laparoscopic and robotic surgery, robotic assisted, and laparoscopic nephrectomy surgeries of upper tracts ending with prostatectomy procedures related to lower tract surgery. Section 2 presents varying laparoscopic, robotic, and laparoendoscopic single-site (LESS) approaches to total and partial nephrectomy as well as nephroureterectomy, adrenalectomy, cavalthrombectomy, robotic nephroureterectomy with resection of distal bladder cuff, and so on. Section 3 covers wide range of surgical approaches to prostatectomy, distal ureterectomy, pelvic and retroperitoneal lymph node dissection, robot-assisted radical cystectomy and intracorporealileal conduit, and so on. Apart from these, renal thermal ablation and laparoscopic complications are discussed.
