This concise book “General Surgical Emergencies” has been designed in such a way that the common emergency conditions are detailed to the extent so that surgical students or the casualty doctors or young surgeons may not miss the diagnosis. The first and second section consists of introduction and assessment of surgical emergencies. The third section overviews about critically III Patient and critical care that includes cardiac, respiratory and inotropic support. Section four highlights about polytrauma, head injuries, facial injuries, abdominal injuries, spinal cord injuries etc. Section five discusses on organs and systems. The organs include oral cavity, head, neck, thorax, spines etc and each of its diseases incidence, etiology, symptoms, signs, relevant investigations, and treatment. The special procedures and situations are included in the section six that highlights about emergency surgical procedures, preparing the patient for emergency surgery, antibiotics, and death.
