Obstetric Vasculopathies

This book, Obstetric Vasculopathies, deals with obstetrics. More than two decades of focused work in this field, publication of original research papers in different journals, and discussing it on many scientific fora have gone into this book. Recurrent miscarriages, preeclampsia, intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR), recurrent stillbirths, and accidental hemorrhage have long been thought to be diverse conditions diffusely related to one another, if at all. An amorphous genetic stimulus appears to have some role in activation of the immunological mechanism that brings about different changes through oxidative changes. In this book, current understanding of the processes involved, and on its basis, the management of different obstetric vasculopathies has been covered in great details. The explanations provided in the understanding of these disease processes and the rationale of scientific management have been based on the current literature as well as more than two decades of my work in this field.
