The book aims to instruct the corneal surgeon in the ways in which femtosecond lasers can be used for corneal grafting surgery. They focus on the use of femtosecond laser technology in corneal surgery. The use of femtosecond lasers has improved the methods of making corneal grafting surgery a better and more controllable technique with better outcomes. This technology is applied to not only to corneal refractive surgery but also to other procedures, such as tunnel creation for intracorneal rings and segment implantations, pockets for intracorneal inlays and rings, astigmatic incisions and for cataract surgery incisions. They also discusses about how to use the different elements involved in the procedure such as artificial anterior chambers and how femtosecond laser technology is used in the cutting interfaces. This technology has the capability of controlling the cut and the profile with less potential surgical trauma, which will makes a perfect environment for an adequately precise donor-recipient size matching. In general this book will help many ophthalmic surgeons and clinicians to bring an immensely improved corneal graft outcome.
