An overwhelming evidence-based literature is now available on donovanosis/granuloma inguinale. It is, therefore, pertinent to take stock of the prevalent situation dwelling on various facets of the disease in the light of literature alert. Donovanosis is one of the chronic genito ulcerative diseases (GUDs) affecting primarily the genitalia. Its clinical, bacteriological, and histopathological features are characteristic enough to pinpoint the diagnosis. Even then this disease is largely missed or overlooked because it is neither suspected nor entertained in the differential diagnosis of ulcerative lesions on the genitalia. An updated enlarged version of the book is made available along with color atlas depicting its salient morphological undertones for its precise instant diagnosis.
