This book, Single Surgical Procedures in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, is organised into multiple volumes on all gynaecological and obstetrical surgical procedures related to the female genital organs. Special sections are dedicated to patient positioning, type of incision, their closures along with proper use of drains, suture choices, etc. In crafting this colour atlas of Wharton’s McIndoe’s and Nagrasth’s Vaginoplasty attempts have been made to follow a logical sequence by dividing it into sections. Following the introduction are three sections: the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care. Also included are chapters describing in detail both the more traditional and newer surgical procedures, and also discuss their place and outcomes. Combining the principles of Ingram's method of passive dilatation technique to create a new vagina and the Vecchietti procedure of creating a dilatation type neovagina using specialised equipment like a traction device, a ligature carrier and an acrylic shaped olive the principles of the two methods have been combined.
