Abstract

This chapter provides detail description of instrumentation for transesophageal echocardiography including new technology. Transesophageal echo and its kinds of single plane probe, dual plane probe, variable plane probe, rotary plane probe, matrix array probe, real time, 3D transesophageal echo technology, transducer technology, miniaturization technology are described in detail. This chapter covers image quality its aperture, frequency and focus with a transducer array.
