Abstract

This chapter will be predominantly centered on the use of transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE), transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE). This chapter attempt at delineating steps for maximizing the yield of echocardiography in patients with rhythm disorders through a focused approach to echo imaging relevant to the cardiac electrophysiology (EP) diagnosis under consideration. After reading this chapter you will able to know echocardiography in supraventricular tachycardia, left atrium, atrial septum, pulmonary veins, inferior vena cava, echocardiography in ventricular tachycardia, echocardiography in cardiac implantable electronic devices. Liberal use of 16 illustrative labelled screen images and table are intended to orient the reader as well as provide an example of the anatomical defect or finding being discussed for better understanding. Each topic is described with colorful images. There are 16 references given at the end of the chapter to facilitate the further reading.
