This book encompasses all aspects of laparoendoscopic single-site surgery (LESS). In the initial section, the basic principles of single-port surgery are described, followed by procedures, complications, limitations and how to overcome them. Initial reports describing the use of LESS in pelvic reconstructive procedures and gynecological malignancy have also been published. Transumbilical LESS has given birth to transvaginal LESS, especially for upper abdominal procedures like cholecystectomy. Transvaginal surgeries have limited application in pelvic procedures because of restricted vision and movements. The last section of the book describes experiences with LESS with tips and tricks for beginners. This book will be helpful to gynecological endoscopists who want to venture into the field of single-site laparoscopic surgery.
