Clinical Synopsis and Color Atlas of Skin Tumors

by Iffat Hassan, Peerzada Sajad Ahmad

Clinical Synopsis and Color Atlas of Skin Tumors presents the clinical presentation of the skin tumors illustrated by photographs, which a practicing physician comes across in a day-to-day practice. Our attempt has been to make the diagnosis of skin tumors easy, so that a cursory glance at the patient will help in identifying the skin tumor. Most tumors retain a resemblance to the normal tissue from which they arise and they can show an extraordinary variation that causes difficulty in some cases in establishing a pathological diagnosis. Skin tumors develop because of proliferation of a single or multiple components of skin. The skin tumors are broadly classified into benign skin tumors, premalignant skin lesions and malignant skin tumors. This book will be of immense help to the undergraduate and postgraduate students of dermatology.
