The book, "Handbook of Gynecological Emergencies", discusses about the gynecological emergencies in different age groups. Gynecological emergencies includes urinary problems, adolescents, gestational trophoblastic disease, ectopic pregnancy, leiomyoma, AUB, and infections in ovary, postmenopausal bleeding, gynecological surgery and laparoscopy, gynecological oncology, urinary retention, contraception and drugs in gynecology. These are the common problems in children and females. Gynecological conditions in females are vaginal discharge by foreign body, allergic vulvitis, hematocolpos and trauma results in vaginal lacerations. There are many bacteria like E. coli causes the UTI infections. Infections in female genitalia: Etiopathogenesis, incision and drainage treated by clindamycin and anti-staphylococcal drugs. It can be diagnosed by urine culture, antibiotics and various techniques MRI, CT, ultrasonography of pelvis, transvaginal ultrasonography, fistulograms, Doppler sonography, chemotherapy, etc. Ultrasound is used to determine the gynecological oncology. COC pills are used for emergency contraceptives. Drugs like cephalosporins, doxycycline, metronidazole, NSAIDs, OCPs, progestins, GnRH agonists, misoprostol, mifepristone drugs are used for pelvic inflammatory diseases, menorrhagia and dysmenorrhea and medical abortion.
