It focuses on the steps of nursing process starting from assessment phase of child, pathophysiology flow sheet, diagnosis phase by using NANDA Taxonomy for clinical judgment, planning, implementation and valuation. Each condition within the system includes an introductory paragraph that provides information about the condition in relation to the infant and child; a pathophysiological flow chart illustrated with diagrams, depicting causative factors, pathology, resultant signs and symptoms, complications; nursing process that includes the essential nursing diagnoses with specific related factors or risks and defining characteristics, followed by specific nursing diagnoses and their related or risk factors, defining characteristics with essential diagnoses and nursing process used.
