The ICN Code of Ethics for Nurses is a guide for action based on social values and needs. Different elements of the ICN code of ethics for nurses are nurses and people, nurses and practice, nurses and the profession, and nurses and co-workers. Steps in the nursing process include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Different ways of administration, basic first aid and suture materials are discussed. Medical and surgical nursing content include understanding of the basic components and functioning of systems present in the body. Various maternal and child health services, common indicators of MCH services, reproductive health, reproductive health indicators for global monitoring, nutrition, sources of data and methods of data collection, levels of disease occurrence and health education are discussed. Nursing managers perform interpersonal role, informational role and also decisional role. Mental disorder is associated with present disability or with a significantly increased risk of death, pain or disability. Organic mental syndromes are due to brain dysfunction caused by a disturbance of physiologic function of brain tissue. A nursing theory is a set of concepts, definitions, relationships, and assumptions derived from nursing models. Nursing research is defined as a formal, systematic, rigorous and intensive process used for solutions to nursing problems and to interpret new trends in the clinical practice, nursing education and nursing administration. Health economics is defined as the application of economic theories, tools and concepts of economics to health and health care.
