The book “Textbook on Ward Management in Nursing Practice” is prepared mainly for the nurse and nursing students to develop their ward management skills. This book consists of six sections with fifty chapters, will assist the nurse to handle any critical situations that are occurring in the hospital. The first section deals with the general introduction to ward management, various responsibilities of nurse manager, maintenance of ward environment and patient care management. In the second section, the activities in management process such as planning, organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, reporting and budgeting are discussed. Techniques and methods in ward management given in section three, helps the nurses to improve their proficiency towards the quality service for the patients. In section four, the comprehensive nursing skill required for effective management of ward are well explained. Staff development activities such as training and educating nurses to grow professionally are discussed in fifth and sixth section.
