Abstract

Two-dimensional (2D) echocardiography (Echo) and three-dimensional (3D) Echo are used during the preprocedural preparation size definition of anatomy. End results are evaluated by fluoroscopy and resorts back to 2D and 3D Echo. The EchoNavigator system is carried out in catheterization laboratory using both the fluoroscopy and TEE view for superior anatomical description of the heart valves and aorta, for preprocedural understanding, superior navigation during the procedure and earlier identification of the defect and their correction which will ultimately increases patients’ safety and yields better results.
