The book “Clinical Methods in Obstetrics and Gynecology” aims to focus on the approach to a patient presenting with specific complaint to a clinician. It emphasizes on laying a road map to reach a correct diagnosis in a systematic manner. The book has been divided into two sections, namely, obstetrics and gynecology. Each chapter begins with the introduction to the topic and a list of likely differential diagnoses based on the presenting complaint, which is followed by a history taking and examination of the patient guided by the differential diagnoses. Finally, various investigations that can be offered to the patient to confirm the diagnosis are given. It also includes minor procedures in gynecology, procedures for screening and diagnosis of cervical cancer, various obstetrical and gynecological instruments, forceps and ventouse, contraception, medical termination of pregnancy and sterilization, doctor and patient interaction.
