Principles of Physiology

The book acquaints the students with the newer concepts and information on physiology. One of the catchy features of the book is the inclusion of colored boxes in the text that briefly highlights the tit-bits and some advanced topics of physiology. The book also encapsulates information in the form of flowcharts and tables which will aid the students to understand the difficult physiological concepts in an easier manner. The topics are divided into twelve sections with the first section describing the general physiology in detail. The second section is about nerve muscle physiology. The third section delineates all the relevant topics that come under hematology. The fourth section describes in depth the respiratory system, followed by the fifth, sixth and seventh sections that intensely covers the topics of the cardiovascular system, the digestive system, and the excretory system respectively. The eighth section explains metabolism in detail. The ninth, tenth, and eleventh section meticulously describes the endocrine system, reproductive system, and nervous system respectively. The final section of the book deals with the topics covering the special sense.
