The book titled “Contact & Occupational Dermatology” is a comprehensive guide dealing with the core concepts of diagnosis and management of contact and occupational dermatitis. The book proves ideal for the clinicians in serving as a practical guide for the evaluation of patients with contact and occupational dermatitis. The book also serves as an expert guide for the physician with regard to the diagnosis and management of suspected contact and/or occupational dermatitis from basic principles of allergic and irritant contact dermatitis to patient monitoring. The book is divided into four sections beginning with the general background. The first section covers four chapters that present introduction on allergic and irritant contact dermatitis, evaluation, patch testing, treatment and regional contact dermatitis. Section two emphasizes on allergens with separate chapters on T. R. U. E. TestTM Standard Allergens, preservatives and vehicles, cosmetics and fragrances, medicaments, photoallergens, plants and other miscellaneous allergens. This is followed by section three comprising of another four chapters that features aspects regarding evaluation of the worker on site, management of occupational dermatitis, with a focus on occupations commonly associated with contact dermatitis. The book concludes with section four that discusses on additional topics in two chapters such as contact urticaria and contact dermatitis in children.
