This chapter gives an overview on computed tomography angiogram in peripheral arterial disease. Imaging is necessary for diagnosis, treatment planning and follow-up in peripheral vascular disease (PVD). Catheter angiography is a gold standard for the diagnosis of PVD, but it is an invasive technique and carries potential risks for iatrogenic complications. Noninvasive imaging tools play a major role in diagnosis, treatment planning and subsequent follow-up of PVD patients. Duplex ultrasound (DU), MR angiography (MRA) and CT angiography (CTA) are the most common noninvasive imaging modalities. This chapter covers the diagnostic imaging of peripheral arterial disease trial, the importance of computed tomography angiography, technical considerations, a combination of methods, technical limitations, benefits of peripheral vascular-computed tomography angiography, clinical applications, future prospective and limitations of peripheral vascular computed tomography angiography.
