This book discusses embryology. The term Embryology, appropriately called developmental anatomy, is applied to the various changes, which take place during the growth of an animal from the egg to the adult condition. This book is very important to understand many clinical aspects in pediatrics and pediatric surgery, especially in dealing with congenital anomalies. Embryology is an integral part of the curriculum in anatomy for MBBS, MD, anatomy, postgraduate, Dental and allied courses. This book consists of 4 chapter’s i.e. human embryology, fetal membrane, development of the third week of life, developments in the fourth week and onwards. Human Embryology is the basis for understanding the human anatomy. It is an essential subdivision, which helps to understand various clinical subjects. Fetal membranes are membranes associated with the developing fetus. The two chorioamniotic membranes are the amnion and chorion, which make up the amniotic sac that surrounds and protects the fetus. Amnion is a thin, tough, fluid filled, membranous sac that surrounds the embryo and the fetus. Extraembryonic celom is the space in the extraembryonic mesoderm, which is also called chorionic sac.
