Cytology is best learned by the study of individual cases. Approach in fine needle aspiration cytology is a diagnostic procedure used to investigate superficial (just under the skin) lumps or masses. In this technique, a thin, hollow needle is inserted into the mass for sampling of cells that, after being stained, will be examined under a microscope. In this book, many classical and interesting cases are discussed which were reported by author in last 25 years. The clinical history and multiple microphotographs of the smears have been provided in all these cases. In many cases, the true history of the patients has been changed to facilitate the diagnosis. In most of the cases, multiple choice responses have been given. The reasons for diagnosis, differential diagnosis, immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry and molecular genetics have been discussed in brief.
