Major topics of discussion include history of the dyslipidemia research, epidemiology of lipid disorders, dyslipidemia, pathogenesis of atherosclerosis, HDL metabolism, lipoprotein, management of dyslipidemias, and diet in dyslipidemia. Some of the other topics include obesity, weight loss, statins in dyslipidemia, bile acid sequestrants, niacin in the lipid disorders, cholesterol absorption inhibitors, familial combined hyperlipidemia, macrovascular complications of diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney disease, and effect of fibrates on lipoproteins metabolism.
