Abstract

This section focuses on nullipara and vaginal hysterectomy. Nullipara and particularly with an intact hymen induce most gynecologists to perform total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) or open the abdomen for hysterectomy. However, for a normal size uterus without pelvic pathology and obstetric trauma in the past, the vaginal route should be an ideal choice. It will spare the abdomen and thus reduce postoperative wound dressing, etc. in a highly disturbed, noncooperative patient. This section comprises of 6 sections that are described as VH in nullipara with intact hymen, VH with uterine debulking, VH with uterine debulking plus right ovarian endometrial cystectomy, VH with BSO for bilateral large hydrosalpinx, VH plus vaginal cuff with BSO in obese, diabetic with endometrial cancer, and VH with BSO for twisted left ovarian cyst.
